​ BANANA DATE GRANOLA
Mix the following in a bowl and set aside:
  • 8 cups rolled oats                      
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds           
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • ½ cup chopped brazil nuts
  • 1 ½ teaspoon sea salt
Place the next two ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil:
  • 1 ¼ cup dates (usually deglet noor dates, make sure there’s no pits in them)
  • ½ cup water 
Boil for a about a 1-1 ½ minutes. 
Put the dates and water in the blender and add the next two ingredients, blend until creamy:
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
Use spoon carefully to help blend.
Add liquid to dry ingredients, lifting gently with hands or spoon and fold back onto itself. Mix until all dry is wet. Put in two pans to bake.
Bake at 170° for 5 to 6 hours or until granola is dry.
