FRUITY BEANS
Soak 4 cups dried beans of your choice, overnight.
In the morning drain and rinse the beans.
Place them in a slow cooker, cover with water {so that it goes over the beans by 2”} and cook on high. If you do not have a slow cooker, place in a stock pot, and bring boil, then lower to a simmer.
After an hour add:

Cook for 30 minutes to blend flavors.
Then add:
Serve them over rice or quinoa.

- 3 bay leaves
- 1 ½ tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Then add:
- 2 1/2 tsp salt {or to taste}
- 3 tbsp dried onion flakes
- 2 tbsp dried garlic flakes
- 2 tbsp dried cilantro
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin (optional)
Cook for 30 minutes to blend flavors.
Then add:
- 2 ½ cups of your favorite tomato sauce
Serve them over rice or quinoa.
