One Loaf Bread Recipe

  • 1 ¾ cup pure warm water
  • 3 tsp dry active yeast
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey, Molasses or Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons blended Olives (about 12 Olives)
Put the above mixture in a medium size bowl and whisk until well blended.
Let sit until proofed (spongy looking) about 10 minutes
Next add:
  • 1 ¾ cup of Whole Wheat Flour and mix well with a whisk (until creamy)
Let sit until thickened or double in size (about 15 minutes)
Next add:
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • 2-3 cups of Whole Wheat Flour (a little bit at a time until slightly sticky)
Mix with spoon until well mixed
(This is the step you would add any spices for pizza crust or garlic knots)
Then:
Add flour as needed to make a dough consistency (not sticky). Take out of bowl
and put on a floured surface. Knead the dough gently until it springs back when
poked with a finger (about 10 minutes).
Form into a bread shape, then lift up and slam down on the table. This will help
take out the air bubbles in your loaf. Place in a parchment lined (or greased loaf
pan).
Let sit until this rises a little, maybe 5-7 minutes.
Put into an oven preheated to 350° for 55-60 minutes (check for doneness).
When done take out of loaf pan and set in towel overnight or at least for 12 hours
to let yeast die.
