Sesame-Flax French Toast
 

Place the following ingredients together in a blender until very smooth: 
  • 1 ½ cups soy, cashew or almond milk
  • 1 Tbs. unhulled sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbs. sunflower seeds
  • 3-4 pitted dates, cut
  • 2 Tbs. whole wheat pastry flour 
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
Then add and briefly blend: 
  • ½ tsp. orange zest, optional
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon substitute
  • ½ tsp. lecithin granules, optional
You’ll need 6-8 slices of bread. 
Pour this into a shallow bowl, (a pie plate works great for this).

Dip slices into the milk mixture, turning slices to coat both sides. 
Brown both sides on a griddle, heated to 225°-250°. You can also bake these in the oven. Bake 
until golden brown.
