Blend in a blender until creamy:
  • ⅓ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup water
Then add and blend:
  • 2 ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ cup quick oats
  • ½ cup cornmeal
  • ¼ cup hulled sesame seeds
  • 1 T. honey (waffles are light without the honey)
  • ¾ tsp. salt
Once blended smooth, add and blend:
  • ½ cup of water
Let sit for 5 minutes.
Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high heat.
Lightly sprinkle unhulled sesame seeds on the waffle iron.
Then pour batter on the waffle iron, just enough to cover. If you put too much it will overflow when cooking. Lightly sprinkle unhulled sesame seeds on top of the batter. Close the waffle iron and set a timer for 10 minutes.
These freeze really well.
