WHOLE FOODS CHILI BEANS
½ T. Onion Powder
In a pot add the following:
Then sauté over low heat for a few minutes until soft and fragrant – Do not let brown
Then add the following and sauté over low heat for 5 minutes:
Continue to simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add tomato sauce to beans, mix in well and then simmer for an additional 15 minutes
- Soak 4 cups of Small Red Beans overnight or for at least 8 hours
- Drain and rinse well
- Put in a large pot and fill with water, 4-5 inches above the beans
- Cook on medium heat for 40 minutes
- Then add: 1 T. of Sea Salt, or to taste

- Let boil until beans are soft
In a pot add the following:
- 1 ½ T. Minced Onion
- ½ T. Minced Garlic
- 1T. Chives
- 2 ½ T. Water
- 2 T. Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
Then sauté over low heat for a few minutes until soft and fragrant – Do not let brown
Then add the following and sauté over low heat for 5 minutes:
- ½ medium Red Pepper - diced
- ½ medium Yellow Pepper - diced
- 1 can of 28 oz. Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 3/4 tsp. Oregano
- 1 ½ tsp. Paprika
- ½ T. Parsley
- 2 tsp. Onion Powder
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 ¼ tsp. Sea Salt
Continue to simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add tomato sauce to beans, mix in well and then simmer for an additional 15 minutes
